Coming Up: Merger Advisory Vote Community Meetings, 'The Aging Magician'

Southampton Schools Merger Advisory Vote Community Listening Tour Meeting
The Southampton School District will be hosting two Merger Advisory Vote Community Listening Tour Meetings before the Oct. 29 straw vote. The first will be held on Monday at the Southampton Cultural Center at 7 p.m., and the second will be held on Wednesday at the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton at 7 p.m.
Annual Halloween Bash
The Children's Museum of the East End in Brigehampton will host a Halloween party, on Friday at 4 p.m., that includes trick or treating for healthy snacks and an outdoor “pumpkin patch” bounce house. Prizes are awarded for best costumes. Ideal for children aged 6 and under. Free to Members/ $23 for non-members.
BH Parlor Jazz: The Howard Sisters
The Bridgehampton Museum’s popular Parlor Jazz Series will launch the first concert of their third season on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The Howard Sisters, born to a Westhampton family, will perform. Tickets $15 members, $25 non-members.
Seating is limited. Reservations recommended.
Sagtown Coffee's 1st Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest
Sagtown Coffee will host its first-ever Pumpkin Carving Contest. Contestants need to submit their finished pumpkins by noon on Oct. 26. There are four different age groups so everyone has a chance to win. Winners will be announced on Saturday at 5 p.m. Participants asked to pay $5.
The Watermill Center presents The Aging Magician Open Rehearsal
The Watermill Center presents director/designer Julian Crouch, Librettist/performer Rinde Eckert and composer, Paola Prestini, who will read sections from the libretto of their new work, "Aging Magician," and create a scene based on the work created during their residency at Watermill with students from the Park Avenue Armory Youth Corps. The show is Saturday at 4 p.m.
