A Sag Harbor couple is frustrated with their attempts to get a zoning change in Sag Harbor. The Hamptons Doc Fest returns. And another East End village says no to marijuana sales.

1. The Village of Quogue joins other East End municipalities to ban marijuana sales. The village board unanimously passed the opt-out legislation at a board meeting on Oct. 15. (Dan's Papers)
2. The Hamptons Doc Fest returns for the 14th year with 30 films that will be screened at Bay Street Theater, Sag Harbor Cinema and online. The in-person week is Dec. 3–10 and a virtual week will run Dec. 11–18. (Dan's Papers)
3. 27East reflects on Westhampton Beach's boys cross country season, saying it might be the best ever. The team took sixth place at Federations. (27east.com)

A Sag Harbor family says they may leave town due to frustration that the village won't grant them an exemption for a property at 31 Long Island Ave. Gabe and Diane Schiavoni want to use the first floor as a new 7-Eleven but a moratorium on waterfront development is complicating their plans.
