Firefighters Extinguish Brush Fire in Shinnecock Hills

In the sweltering heat on Tuesday afternoon, the Southampton Fire Department was called out for a brush fire in Shinnecock Hills.

A brush truck and a mini pumper were used to extinguish the flames at the end of Black Watch Court after the 3:45 p.m. call.

The Southampton Town Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause.
