Crimes and suspicious incidents recently reported to the Southampton Town Police Department:
Criminal Mischief
• A resident of Roses Grove Road in Southampton reported to police on July 31 that someone shot a BB through the front window of his house.
• A East Hampton woman told police on July 27 that someone scratched her car, which was parked on Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike at 11:00 a.m.

Petty Larceny
• A Sag Harbor resident reported to police on July 28 that while at the Flying Point Beach in Southampton someone stole his beach sticker off his car.• A resident of Montauk Highway in Southampton called police on July 29 to report that someone stole backyard cushions, valued at $160.
• Police are investigating after personnel at Sagg Main Beach reported that a woman tried to pass off a fake parking permit, asking to exchange it for a new one. According to the report, filed on July 23, the woman asked for a new permit because she got a new car.Â

• A resident of Shore Road in North Sea told police on July 29 that sometime between July 19 and 29 someone broke into his house through the basement and stole a $500 flat-screen television.
