State Police: Drunken Driver Speeding Over 90 mph

Southampton Village and State police report arrests for the week.

The following report was issued by the State Police:

• William Bess III , 29, of Southampton, was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge after he was stopped for reportedly going 91 mph in a 55 mph zone on Montauk Highway in Southampton on Oct. 12.

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Village Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

• Kimberly A. Curry, 46, of Southampton, was arrested on an active arrest warrant for fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, on Oc. 10 at about 4:20 p.m. When she was arrested, she was also charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and false personation, both misdemeanors. 

• A 50-year-old Southampton man was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and trespass, a violation, on Oct. 11 at approximately 6:25 p.m. Police responded to a 911 call at a residence on Hillcrest Avenue of an active trespass.  Upon arrival, police found Benitez-Guzman on the property.
