Yoga for the Kids and a Warning about Stolen Cars on This Thursday
Your guide to what's happening in Southampton.

We hope this morning note finds you all well rested and ready for the day ahead.
-- Scattered thunderstorms are expected today, and it will be humid with a high of 80. The chance of rain is 50 percent, so you will likely have to forgo the beach. We had some great weather the past few days, so we can't really complain, right?
-- Looking for something to do with the kids on a rainy day? Goat on the Boat Puppet Theater in Sag Harbor will host pirate and mermaid yoga night on Thursday at 6 p.m. Kids 4 to 10 years old will discover, play and explore yoga. They'll wind down with thematic literature, "sleepy yoga mist and soothing meditation balm." I bet parents think that's sounds like a great idea!
-- Attention, car owners: Lock your doors and don't leave the keys in the car — that's what police are recommending, particularly in light of the recent rash of luxury car thefts. This past week, three more cars were reported stolen from the Bridgehampton and Water Mill area.
-- Some events to keep in mind for next weekend: the Pink Apron party at Southampton Hospital, part of the Ellen Hermanson Foundation's 18th annual Ellen's Run. Christie Brinkley, B. Smith and Dan Gasby will host the party on Aug. 17. Proceeds from the party and race, scheduled for Aug. 18, go toward the foundation's care of breast cancer patients.
-- Lastly, we've mentioned Bo once before, but he's worth mentioning again. Patch reader Rich Morey and his family have been fostering this two-year-old hound since rescuing him from a kill shelter in Virginia and now he is looking for his forever home. "He will pay you back with unending loyalty and unconditional love when he lies down with you at the end of the day and looks up at you with his adoring eyes," Morey writes. His contact information is available on our boards if you are interested. Share the link, because you never know, you may know his perfect match.
