• Nurse strike averted across three Northwell hospitals following tentative agreements (greaterlongisland.com) — Nurses at Syosset Hospital will not go on strike after Northwell Health and the New York State Nurses Association reached a tentative contract agreement covering Syosset, Plainview, and Huntington hospitals. The deal, which still needs union ratification, addresses staffing and workload concerns, meaning Syosset residents can expect normal hospital operations to continue while nurses review the proposed contract.
