- Gallery North will host the Wet Paint Festival on Saturday, June 4, and Sunday, June 5. Over 40 local artists will be painting outdoors, and the community will be able to watch their art and learn more about their history. The event is free for the public and held at Sherwood-Jayne Farm, located at 55 Old Post Road, East Setauket. (Gallery North)
- Do you need to replace your blue recycle bin? Brookhaven Department of recycling will be distributing free containers for all on June 3 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Three Village Society on 93 North Country Road, Setauket. (TVHS)
- Emma Clark Memorial Library has a good amount of technology equipment cardholders can borrow for free! The "Library of things" is available throughout the year. Take a look at the items available here. (ECML)
- Two podcast art contest “Getting Thru” winners are from our community! Ward Melville High School senior Tasnim Loqman and her teacher Cortney Weisman were awarded for creating artwork using Adobe Illustrator. Tasnim won a $500 art scholarship. (Three Village School District)
- Long Island police crossed the whole Island in a 'Long Island Wave' operation. From May 2 to May 13, police team up with local law enforcement officials to look for fugitives and gang members. (LInews12)
