WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A New Jersey driver was arrested Wednesday for slamming his car into a Washington Heights man while doing doughnuts in the middle of a Soho street, police said.

Tyler Greer, 22, faces charges of assault, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving for the Saturday stunt-gone-wrong on Vandam and Greenwich streets, police said.

Christopher Brito, the man struck by the spinning red sedan, suffered a fractured skull, brain injury, and cannot currently eat, move, or talk, his mother says.

Video shows the Washington Heights resident running out into the street in what appears to be an attempt to film the doughnuts, before he trips and falls into the car's path.

The red car then rolls over Brito's head as the crowd reacts in horror.

The sedan, which has "Tyler Spec" written in yellow on the driver's side, proceeds to take off as the crowd also scatters, video shows.

Attorney Nicholas Ramcharitar told the Daily News earlier this week that the suspected driver would turn himself in at the NYPD's First Precinct and that he felt bad about the crash.
