Fire Breaks Out In 32-Story Building In Washington Heights: FDNY
Flames ignited within a highrise Tuesday morning at 111 Wadsworth Avenue, FDNY told Patch.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Flames broke out early Tuesday morning on the fifth floor of a 32-story building in Washington Heights, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
The fire ignited around 4:10 a.m. at 111 Wadsworth Avenue, in between West 178th and 179th streets, FDNY said.

The fire was put under control by 4:39 a.m., FDNY said.

Luckily, the spokesperson reported no injuries.
Reports online said that the flames were confined to a single balcony on the Washington Heights building, but this was not confirmed by FDNY.

The building is also home to multiple businesses, including the New York Heights Medical PC-Workers Compensation Doctor, Dr. Edward A. Braunstein's office, and Flavors & Layers.
