Fire Breaks Out In Inwood Residential Building: FDNY
Flames ignited Wednesday morning within a six-story building at 241 Sherman Ave. in Inwood, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.

INWOOD, NY — A fire broke out Wednesday morning in a residential Inwood building, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
The flames ignited around 10:30 a.m. on the third floor of a six-story building at 241 Sherman Ave., the spokesperson said.
Firefighters had the flames under control by 11:08 a.m., and there were no injuries, FDNY said.

The Bizcocho De Colores Party Supply store has a commercial space on the ground floor of the building, but it is unclear if the fire caused any damage outside of the third floor.
The store did not immediately tell Patch in a phone call if the fire affected the ground floor.
