GoFundMe For Wash Heights Woman Killed With Dog Launched

"It is our goal to alleviate this financial strain and allow our family to focus on grieving and healing," Jackie Billini's children wrote.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY - An online fundraiser has been launched for the funeral expenses of Jackie Billini, the woman who was fatally shot alongside her nephew and dog in Washington Heights last week.

Billini, 57, and Levaughn Harvin, 42, were both shot in the head while walking Billini's dog near Highbridge Park at West 165 Street and Edgecombe Avenue about 6:30 p.m., police said.

Billini’s neighbor Lenue Moore - who she had an order of protection against since he attacked her in April - is wanted by police in connection with the slaying, according to a report. No arrests have been made thus far.

“The unexpected loss of our mother Jackie has brought immense grief and sorrow to our family,” Billini’s children Nathalie and Iliana wrote in the fundraiser description on GoFundMe.

“As we navigate through this devastating time, we are also faced with the financial burden of arranging a proper funeral service. Funeral expenses can quickly accumulate, including the costs of the casket, burial, transportation, a ceremony, and other associated fees. It is our goal to alleviate this financial strain and allow our family to focus on grieving and healing.”
