INWOOD, NY — A masked man stole food at gunpoint from an Inwood fish market in a botched robbery attempt last month, the NYPD announced Friday.

The armed man ordered his meal from El Tina Fish Market on West 207th Street and Broadway about 7:55 a.m. on April 30, then pulled out a gun, police said.

The robber tried to grab cash from the register then fled without paying for his "consumables," police said.

Consumables on El Tina's menu — with prices ranging from $6 to $17 — include fried calamari, red snapper and a whiting sandwich.

The robber, who wore a black ski mask, jumped into a black Chevy sedan outside and sped away, police said.
