In the days after the assault, Beato gave an interview to the New York Post where she said she's considering leaving Inwood for Florida.
“This area, the Inwood area, I never planned on leaving it,” she told the New York Post. “I never thought it would happen on the 1 train … For it to be my neighborhood train and this happens — it’s like I feel hopeless.”
Beato vowed to the New York Post that she would not take the train again.
On a slightly lighter note, Beato jokingly commented on her own video, saying that her Dominican mom wasn't so happy with the amount of cursing in it.
The TikTok video breaking down what happened has been viewed more than 1.5 million times.
Many of the video's top comments are from other women, saying they've also stopped taking the train because they don't feel comfortable on it.
