Uptown Straphanger Beaten By Man Screaming Anti-Gay Slurs, Video Shows
"I'm sick of all you f----," a man said before attacking and hospitalizing a 22-year-old on an uptown A train, police said and video shows.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A straphanger grabbed another rider by the hair, beat him and screamed anti-gay slurs on a Washington Heights train, according to police and video of the attack.
A 22-year-old man was riding a northbound A train near the 190th Street station Saturday about 2:20 p.m. when another passenger began spitting and mumbling, "I wish I had my pepper spray," police said.
The straphanger stood and the spitting man lunged at him, punched him several times in the face, ripped out his hair and declared, "I'm sick of all you f---," according to police.

The violent encounter was caught on video police released Wednesday.

The 22-year-old was left with cuts to his head and lost hair, he was transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in stable condition, police said.
The investigation remains ongoing by the Hate Crime Task Force.
