INWOOD, NY — He took a bite into crime. A chain-snatching thief gnawed on a teenage dog walker's hand in a broad-daylight Inwood robbery, police say.
The 14-year-old boy was walking a dog near the corner of West 205th Street and Ninth Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday when the unidentified robber yanked a gold chain off his neck, the NYPD said.
The boy resisted and the thief chomped on his right hand, drawing blood, according to cops. The robber headed west away from the scene with the chain and the teen was taken to an area hospital, police said.
