Man Killed In Washington Heights After Crashing Into Truck: NYPD
A man died Thursday after slamming into the back of a truck that was stopped in traffic near the Alexander Hamilton Bridge, NYPD said.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man died Thursday morning after slamming into the back of a truck in Washington Heights just before the Alexander Hamilton Bridge, a police spokesperson told Patch.
A 27-year-old man was driving a Honda Civic southbound on the Trans Manhattan Expressway (near West 178th Street) around 3:45 a.m. when he struck the back of a semi-trailer truck that was stopped in traffic, police said.
Minutes later, police found the man unconscious and unresponsive in the driver's seat, and transported him to Harlem Hospital, NYPD said.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
The truck drove away when the traffic cleared, and the police spokesperson told Patch that it wasn't clear if the truck even noticed that the car had slammed into it.
