Man Mugged On MTA Bus In Washington Heights, Police Say
A 27-year-old man was punched and thrown to the floor of the BX34 bus traveling through Washington Heights.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify two men wanted in connection with a mugging on an MTA bus traveling through Washington Heights, police said.
A 27-year-old was riding the BX43 bus on the evening of July 25 when he was approached by an unknown man who attempted to engage him in conversation before punching him in the face, police said. Another man then came over and helped punch the victim in the head and body before throwing him to the floor of the vehicle, police said.
The men stole the victim's cellphone, watch and headphones and exited the bus at the intersection of West 181 Street and Amsterdam Avenue, police said.

The 27-year-old suffered minor injuries during the mugging, police said.
Police recently released photos of the two suspects in the robbery (seen above). One of the suspects is described as a man in his 30s who stands about 6-feet-tall and the other is described as a man in his 30s who stands about 5-foot-5.
