Man Robs Washington Heights Bank, Gets Away With Hundreds: NYPD

The robber walked into a Washington Heights bank on Tuesday, and passed a note to an employee demanding money, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Police are looking for a man who successfully robbed a TD Bank in Washington Heights on Tuesday.

The robber walked into the bank at 3798 Broadway about 3:35 p.m., near West 157th Street, and approached the bank teller — before passing the employee a note demanding money and threatening that he had a gun, police said.

The teller handed over $530, which the man took and quickly ran out of the bank with, police said.

There were no reported injuries.
