Man Shot In The Chest And Killed In Inwood: Police
Inwood resident Erni Garcia, 24, was shot and killed in the neighborhood on Monday, police said. There has not been an arrest.
INWOOD, NY — A local man was shot and killed in Inwood on Monday night, police said.
Around 8:35 p.m. in front of 187 Sherman Ave., NYPD officers found Erni Garcia, 24, lying on the street with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.
Emergency services rushed him to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

There have been no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
