Man Shot In Manhattan Apartment, Police Say

FORT GEORGE, NY — Police are looking for suspects after a man was shot inside an apartment building in Fort George on Tuesday, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, the 48-year-old victim was shot in the back just after midnight Tuesday inside 500 West 190th St., an apartment building on a quiet residential street.

Law enforcement sources told Patch that the shooter may have known the victim, but that it is unclear what led up to the shooting.

Police said the man was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.
