Man Tries To Rob Delivery Worker At Knifepoint In Wash Heights: NYPD

The attempted robber flashed a knife and demanded the worker's bike, police said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A man recently tried to rob a food delivery worker at knifepoint in Washington Heights, police said.

A 24-year-old man was making a delivery on a bike around 8:12 p.m. at 340 Haven Ave. (near West 181st Street) on Oct. 26, when a person he didn't know approached him, police said over the weekend.

The robber then flashed a knife and demanded the worker's bicycle, police said.

The attempted robber ran away, though, after other people happened to walk by the location, police said.

There were no injuries, police said.
