UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — A man armed with a gun recently robbed five stores in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx in what law enforcement is calling a citywide robbery pattern.

In all the commercial robberies, which took place from March 25 to April 7, the man walked into a store and demanded money from an employee while flashing or indicating that he had a gun, police said.

The robberies took place in Washington Heights, Harlem, and Kingsbridge.
