Large Blaze Erupts In Washington Heights Apartment Building: FDNY
More than 100 firefighters battled a blaze Tuesday evening at 220 Audubon Ave., between West 176 and 177th streets, officials said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — More than 100 firefighters battled a blaze Tuesday evening in a Washington Heights apartment building, the FDNY said.
The 2-alarm fire broke out on the fifth floor of a six-story building at 220 Audubon Ave., between West 176th and 177th streets, about 4:15 p.m., FDNY said.
A total of 106 firefighters responded to the blaze, which they were able to get under control by about 5:1o p.m., FDNY said.

There were no reported injuries and the FDNY is investigating how the fire began, officials said.
