Person Injured In Wash Heights Residential Building Fire: FDNY
It took firefighters an hour to put out flames Sunday night at 325 Wadsworth Ave., an FDNY spokesperson said.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A person was injured after a fire broke out Sunday night in a Washington Heights residential building, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
The flames ignited around 10:45 p.m. in the basement of 325 Wadsworth Ave., a five-story building between West 189th and 190th streets, FDNY said.
Sixty firefighters responded to the fire, and were able to place it under control around 11:45 p.m., FDNY said.

A resident of the building sustained minor injuries, but did not need to be hospitalized, the spokesperson added.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

It is the second time this year that a fire has taken place on Wadsworth Avenue in Upper Manhattan. On March 22, flames broke out in a 32-story residential building at 111 Wadsworth Avenue, which is between West 178th and 179th streets.
Luckily, nobody was injured in that incident.
