Search Continues For $1M Lotto Ticket Sold In Inwood: Expires Soon

The winning ticket was sold last year at the Broadway Newsstand at 4765 Broadway. It expires on Sept. 28.

INWOOD, NY — This is a public service announcement for all Upper Manhattanites that play the lottery to check their wallets or that one drawer where all the old tickets go.

As first reported by the Uptown Collective, an unclaimed Mega Millions ticket worth a million dollars bought in Inwood last year will expire on Sept. 28, 2022.

The life-changing ticket was sold at the Broadway Newsstand at 4766 Broadway, near Dyckman Street.

The ticket was for a second prize in the Mega Millions drawing from Sept. 28, 2021, where the winning draw was 18-30-43-68-69 and the Mega Ball 22, reported the Uptown Collective.

The news of the unclaimed prize comes less than a month after Mega Millions madness swept the country as the jackpot made its way up to $1.28 billion — the second-largest pot in the game's history.

A person in Illinois ended up with the winning ticket, but "only" gets to take home $433.7 million after tax.
