Teenager Shot In Leg And Killed In Inwood: Police

The shooting happened Saturday night in front of 3761 10th Ave., police said. There have been no arrests as of Monday morning.

INWOOD, NY — A teenager was shot in the leg and killed over the weekend in Inwood, police said.

Officers responded to shots fired in front of 3761 10th Ave. about 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, police said.

Upon arrival, NYPD found a 19-year-old with a gunshot wound to his left leg, police said.

Medics rushed him to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

There have been no arrests as of Monday morning.

The public identification of the 19-year-old is pending the notification of his family.

The 3761 10th Ave. address, between West 201st and 202nd streets, is a less than two-minute walk from the popular late night spots Opus Lounge, Luxor, and Taller Cocina.
