Wash Heights Gang Members Charged In Murder Of Father Of 3: NYPD

The two Washington Heights residents were also recently arrested as part of a bust on the Own Every Dollar Gang in Upper Manhattan.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Two Washington Heights residents accused of being involved in an Upper Manhattan gang were also arrested and charged on Tuesday in the murders of two men, including a father of three, police said.

The murder charges stem from a shooting in July 2020, when officers found two men unconscious and unresponsive in a parked card at 1475 Sedgwick Ave. in the Bronx with gunshot wounds to the back of their heads, police said.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Three men were arrested and charged with murder on Tuesday for the shooting, Jowenky Nunez, 20, Brian Hernandez, 22, and Iyaury Rodriguez, 41, police said.

Nunez and Hernandez are both Washington Heights residents, who were recently arrested separately and accused of being involved in the Own Every Dollar Gang that "wreaked havoc" in Upper Manhattan and across the borough.

Rodriguez is also part of the Own Every Dollar Gang, according to the Manhattan DA.

The two victims of the Bronx shooting were later identified as Isael Cabrera, 25, and Richard Dominguez, 30, police said.

Dominguez was a father of three, whose mourning family was shocked to hear that he had been killed so violently.

"He was a great son, like my mom is devastated," Katie Dominguez, his sister, told Bronx News12. "A huge piece of our family is just like gone now."

Dominguez had three children and a wife named Cheryl, reported Bronx News12.

It is still unclear why Dominguez and Cabrera were targeted in the shooting.
