Wash Heights Open Streets Schedule For The Rest Of The Month
Yoga, cooking classes, and jazz concerts are just some of the events coming to two Washington Heights Open Streets this July.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The July programming for two Washington Heights Open Streets run by the uptown organization Community League of the Heights was revealed on Monday.
There are nearly 10 scheduled events that will take place on 159th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam, and 164th Street between Amsterdam and Edgecombe, before the end of the month.
Community League of the Heights, otherwise known as CLOTH, is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting and empowering the economic entities and communities in Upper Manhattan.

Here is what to know about both of the Open Streets schedules.
159 Street between Broadway and Amsterdam
- Tuesday, July 18: Yoga with NY Presbyterian Hospital beginning at 9 a.m.
- Wednesday, July 19: A how to prepare healthy meals food demonstration throughout the day.
- Thursday, July 20: A Street Lab with creative play for kids from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Friday, July 28: A SpeakEasy Bookmobile throughout the day.
The BookMobile was created in 2017 to address neighborhoods where bookstores are in short supply, and the box truck is outfitted with 54 linear feet of shelving that has hundreds, if not thousands of books.

164th Street between Amsterdam and Edgecombe
- Wednesday, July 19: HOPE Fitness and Nutrition from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Thursday, July 20: Concert with Jazz Power aimed to empower youth through music and arts education from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Thursday, July 20: Free face painting with Ysabel! from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Friday, July 21: Free face painting with Ysabel! from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
