WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY - A man was shoved onto train tracks inside a Washington Heights A subway station last week, authorities said.

The 64-year-old victim was walking on the A train station southbound platform inside the 175th Street station on Sept. 18 about 12:50 a.m. when an unknown man approached and urged him to "throw yourself onto the tracks.”

The assailant then pushed the victim onto the roadbed and fled the location on foot. The victim sustained three fractured ribs and a dislocated right shoulder as a result of the push.

The assailant is described as a man with a bald head. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a light blue hooded sweatshirt and black and yellow sneakers.
