Washington Heights, Inwood Election Results: Robert Jackson Wins
The sole uptown race with multiple candidates was called Tuesday night. Here's who won, and which candidates sailed through uncontested.

UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — State Sen. Robert Jackson was named the winner Tuesday night of the race to represent Upper Manhattan in the State Senate, according to NY1.
The race for State Senate District 31 seat was the only uptown contested battle of the night.
Here were the results as of 10:25 p.m., which is when the race was called, according to NY1.

State Senate District 31 (Part of Washington Heights and entirety of Inwood)
- Robert Jackson (D): 85.2 percent (39,895 votes)
- Donald Skinner (R): 14.8 percent (6,951 votes)
Congressional District 13 (Entirety of Washington Heights and Inwood)

Incumbent Adriano Espaillat (D) ran uncontested in the Congressional race.
Assembly Districts 71 and 72 (Washington Heights and Inwood)
Incumbents Alfred Taylor and Manny De Los Santos both ran uncontested in their respective uptown districts.
The biggest name on the uptown ballots Tuesday night was Espaillat, who remained unchallenged in the race to represent Washington Heights and Inwood in Congress.
He has held the congressional seat since 2016.
The only uptown race that had multiple candidates Tuesday night was Jackson taking on Skinner in the State Senate contest.
Jackson has held the seat since 2018 and fended off the Espaillat-backed candidate Angel Vasquez in the Democratic primary.
Patch was not able to find any information about Skinner, but it appeared to be hist first time running for political office.
Elsewhere in the neighborhood, Taylor and De Los Santos ran uncontested to continue representing their Assembly districts.
