Woman Found Dead In Hudson River Off Washington Heights: NYPD

A woman was found floating Thursday morning in the Hudson River near West 165th Street, police said. She was pronounced dead shortly after.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A woman was pronounced dead after being found Thursday morning floating in a Washington Heights section of the Hudson River, a police spokesperson told Patch.

A Parks Department employee spotted her body in the river around 11 a.m. near West 165th Street, police said.

She was transported to a dock at 125th Street where she was pronounced dead, police added.

A medical examiner is currently determining the cause of death.
