WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY - A homeless woman was slashed by an unknown assailant inside a Washington Heights park Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The 28-year-old victim was sitting on a park bench at Amelia Gorman Park about 12:40 p.m. when another woman sat down on the bench next to her, police said.

A short time after, the woman slashed the victim with a razor and fled the area with another woman, police said.

Medics treated the victim at the scene, police said. No arrest has been made as of Thursday.

The assailant is described as a female standing at about five feet six inches with curvy, wavy hair and weighing about 150 pounds.
