Man Murders Friend In East Quogue Home, Body Found In Rear Yard: PD
Police spent hours Saturday investigating the "suspicious" death in the residential community of Oakville Estates in East Quogue.

EAST QUOGUE, NY — A man was arrested Saturday night after murdering his friend in an East Quogue home and leaving the body in the rear yard, police said.
The East Quogue community of Oakville Estates was cloaked in fear Saturday as police reported a "suspicious death" and homicide squad detectives spent hours at the scene investigating.
According to Suffolk County police, Southampton Town Police responded to 9 Oakville Avenue after a man called 911 to report a man was found dead in the rear yard of the residence at 9:52 a.m. Saturday, authorities said.

Christopher Hahn, 43, of 150 W. Tiana Road in Hampton Bays, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The cause of death will be determined by an autopsy conducted by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office, officials said.
Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police homicide squad detectives, Jeremy Allen, the sole occupant of 9 Oakville Avenue, was arrested at 120 Old Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays Saturday night at 10:40 p.m., police said.

Hahn was a friend of Allen’s and was a guest at his house at the time of the murder, police said.
Allen, 43, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence, police said.
He was held overnight at the Southampton Town Police Department and was scheduled to be arraigned at Southampton Town Justice Court on Sunday, police said.
