Anthony Spinola, Retired Westchester County Deputy Sheriff, Passes Away at 73
The Mohegan Lake man was one the top racing pigeon flyers in the country. Family will receive friends at the Yorktown Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

From the Yorktown Funeral Home: Anthony "Tony" Spinola, a Mohegan Lake resident and retired Westchester County Deputy Sheriff, passed away on Feb. 24. He was 73.
Spinola was born in Wappingers Falls on Jan.10, 1940 to Anthony and Mary Spinola. He married wife Elizabeth Sabito on Sept. 25, 1965 at Assumption Church in Peekskill.
He is survived by his daughter Cynthia (Steve Demchuk), and his three, beautiful pride and joy granddaughters; Auriella, Alaira, and Araina of Yorktown Heights. He is also survived by a son Tony Spinola Jr. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother John Spinola.

The man was one the top racing pigeon flyers in the country. He loved the sport since he was a young child.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Assumption Church in Peekskill at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
