Byrne Wins GOP Nomination in Landslide
Putnam and Westchester Republicans Endorse with Over 75% of Vote.

From Byrne4NY:
Carmel, NY - Thursday night’s Republican convention saw the Putnam and Westchester County Republican Committee’s formally endorse first time candidate, Kevin Byrne, for the 94th Assembly District. Winning a remarkable 75% of the vote in a three person race, Byrne will be the Republican candidate running to make sure his friends and neighbors in Putnam and Westchester Counties have someone willing to fight for them in Albany.
“Kevin Byrne is exactly the kind of man we need representing us in the state legislature,” said Yorktown Supervisor Michael Grace while nominating Byrne at the convention. “He has dedicated his life to serving his friends and neighbors in the Hudson Valley, be it as a local volunteer firefighter and EMT or a member of his local town planning board. His kind heart and record as a team player will serve him well in Albany.”

“Kevin represents everything that this state needs right now; hardworking, dedicated people willing to fight for New York’s future,” said Chairwoman of the Putnam County Legislature Ginny Nacerino, who had the opportunity to second Byrne’s nomination at the convention. “Young people are fleeing this state by the thousands for prospects of a more profitable future in Florida and the Carolinas. Kevin has chosen to stay here, start a family, and make his mark in the community he has always called home. I couldn’t be more excited to support him November, and beyond.”
“With corruption running rampant in both Albany, and right here in the Hudson Valley, it is critical that we elect someone with the highest moral character like Kevin Byrne,” said Putnam County Republican Chairmen Anthony Scannapieco. “The revelation that DeBlasio has attempted to buy elections in the Hudson Valley only proves how important it is we elect those with the highest ethical standards who aren’t afraid to stand up to NYC special interests.”

"Whether it's lowering property and income taxes, or protecting our constitutional rights and liberties, I am confident Kevin will represent us with the utmost integrity,” said Westchester Republican Committee Chairman Doug Colety. “Kevin always steps up to the plate when his community needs it, and this race is no different. I want to thank Kevin for continuing to serve our community and as our Assemblyman he will help get New York State back on track.”
“It's clear that if we stay on the road that Albany has us on now, this state's crushing tax burden and corrupt government will drive out an entire generation. As a member of that generation, I'm determined to lead the charge for change,” said Kevin Byrne. “I want to thank the town Republican committees who have placed their trust in me and know that as the next Assemblyman for Putnam and Northern Westchester Counties, I will not let you down.”
After knocking on doors, making phone calls, and corresponding with voters for months, Byrne received 14,562 votes at the convention. His opponents received 3,681 and 974.
