Car Fire on Taconic Causes Minor Injuries
A car fire causes minor injuries to driver, early Monday morning.
A Pleasantville man driving on the Taconic Parkway South drove off the roadway, onto the shoulder and into the wooden area near the Underhill Avenue exit, in Yorktown shortly after 2 a.m. on Monday, August 23, police said.
His 2001 Nissan Maxima caught on fire and the Yorktown Fire Department was dispatched to extinguish it. The cause of the fire was undetermined at the time.
The male driver was the only person in the car. He sustained minor injuries, and refused medical attention, police said.
