'Casino Night and Dinner Dance' for Yorktown; Somers Blood Emergency Drive

1. 'Casino Night and Dinner Dance'

The Foundation for Excellence in Yorktown Education will honor three women –Monica Garrigan, Jane McCarthy and Donna D’Andrea of Yorktown's Relay For Life – during its annual 'Casino Night and Dinner Dance.' 2. Blood Emergency Drive

The Somers Women's Club will host a blood drive on behalf of the New York Blood Center on Saturday, March 2 from 9 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the Somers Intermediate School on Route 202.

3. Yorktown BOE Meeting

Yorktown school board members will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Mildred E. Strang Middle School's cafeteria. Items on the agenda include a budget discussion on athletics, co-curricular, O&M and tax cap calculation.

4. Pied Piper Students 'Meet the Community'

Pied Piper Pre-school students recently took a class trip to Solaris Sports Club in Yorktown as part of the school’s monthly “meet the community” program. For pictures and a video from their trip, click here.

5. Fro-Yo Fusion is Hiring

Fro-Yo Fusion (606 Route 6, Mahopac) is looking to hire high school juniors and seniors and college aged adults who are or will be attending college locally and can work after the summer ends. Prior work experience is preferred. If interested, just walk in and apply.
