Croton-on-Hudson Man Charged With ID Theft, Possession Of Stolen Property: Yorktown PD
The 32-year-old is charged with a felony after making purchases without the credit card owner's permission, according to investigators.

YORKTOWN, NY — A case of identity theft has led to felony charges being filed against a Westchester man, according to police.
The Yorktown Police Department says that 32-year-old William Gambichler, of Croton-on-Hudson, was arrested and charged with felony fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and misdemeanor third-degree identity theft.
On December 22, around 10:48 a.m., officers responded to the Filingeri Electric Co, on Lexington Avenue, after receiving a report of a past burglary.

It was determined that a victim's credit card had been stolen, and detectives identified Gambichler as the suspect. Police say that he later used the credit card to make several purchases without the owner's permission.
On December 30, Gambichler was arrested by the Peekskill Police Department and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.

On January 8, he was brought to Yorktown Police Department headquarters by the Westchester County Department of Corrections for arrest processing.
Gambichler was then arraigned, and remanded to the Westchester County Jail. He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on February 5.
