Cyber Monday Deals; Somers Food Drive Extended; Costco Public Hearing Closed

1. Cyber Monday Deals
Lower Hudson Valley residents who didn’t want to brave the crowds on Black Friday or Small Business Saturday still have one more big chance to save courtesy of Cyber Monday.

2. YHS Orchestra Barnes & Noble Fundraiser
The Yorktown High School orchestra will hold its fundraiser on Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can hear the YHS orchestra perform light classical music along with holiday favorites at the Cortlandt Town Center Barnes & Noble. 3. Somers Food Drive Extended
Due to overwhelming need in the Somers community, the 25th annual Food Drive has been extended until Dec. 21. Donations can be dropped off at The Merritt Agency (Allstate Insurance) in the Somers Towne Shopping Centre. Click here for more details.
4. Costco Public Hearing Closed
After hearing from dozens of community members, both in favor and opposed to the proposed Costco Wholesale Club in Yorktown, the town's planning board members have closed the Costco public hearing. Board members left the written comment period open for 30 days. All written comments must be received by the planning department on or before Wednesday, Dec. 19.
5. 'Crisis in Wall Street: How a Home was Lost'
Jan Lourie, graphic artist and computer scientist, will showcase her new art show, Triple Threat, "Crisis in Wall Street: How a Home was Lost" on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the John C Hart Memorial Library. Every person who attends the show will receive a catalog that contains all three parts of her show.
