Dutchess Man Accused Of Drunken Driving In Yorktown
Police said the man was in a one-car crash, which led to his arrest.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Dutchess County man was accused of drunken driving in Yorktown after a one-car crash.
The Yorktown Police Department said Jeffrey A. Brideau, 56, of Poughquag, was charged Tuesday with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and moved from lane unsafely and fail to keep right, traffic infractions.
Police said, shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to the area of Strang Boulevard and Oakside Road for a single-car crash.

An investigation identified Brideau as the driver, who was driving while drunk, didn’t keep right and unsafely moved from his lane, police said.
He was arrested and taken to NewYork Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital for medical care.

Brideau was processed on the charges at the hospital and released on his own recognizance to a responsible party after being treated.
He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Feb. 21.
