1. Tree of Life Lighting

The Hospice Care is holding the annual Tree of Life lighting today at 7:30 p.m. at the , 600 Lee Blvd., in Yorktown Heights. 

The  is open to the public and free of charge. Holiday music will be performed by the Antioch Baptist Church Choir. Doves that can be inscribed with the names of loved ones are available for a donation and will be displayed on one of the Tree of Life trees in the mall for the holiday season. All proceeds from the event benefit Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam's patient care services and community bereavement programs offered free of charge to all residents in Westchester and Putnam counties.For more information, please call (914) 666-4228.

2. Knitting Class

Want to learn how to make a scarf or how to nit a hat for a loved one this holiday season? Join a knitting class at , 3333 Crompond Rd. today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. starting today. The class requires a minimum of four students. There is a $5 charge for the class. To register call 914-734-4450. The class is also offered on Dec. 3, 10, and 17. 

3. Talent Show

The Lakeland High School Students Against Drunk Driving are sponsoring a talent show at the school today at 7 p.m. 

4. International Night  

Benjamin Franklin Elementary School is holding their International Night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. 

5. Disney's Mulan Jr.

Travel back to the legendary, story-telling days of ancient China with this action-packed stage adaptation of Disney's Mulan. The Huns have invaded, and it is up to the misfit Mulan and her mischievous sidekick Mushu to save the Emperor. Mulan JR. is a heartwarming celebration of culture, honor and a fighting spirit. The score includes favorites like "Reflection," "Honor to Us All" and "I'll Make a Man Out of You" as well as new songs that will get your audience up on its feet.

The performance starts today at 8 p.m. the , 238 Route 117 By Pass Rd. in Bedford Hills. The rest of the performances are Nov. 20 and Nov. 21.
