Free Dance Show for Seniors, Singing Contest, Touch of Evil, and More
Here are five things you need to know today, Jan. 3.

1. Free Dance Shows For Senior Citizens
As a result of the inclement weather, an additional free performance for senior citizens has been added to the shows. Performances for seniors are on Thursday, Feb. 3 and on Friday, Feb. 4 at 2:30 p.m. Any senior from throughout the area is welcome to attend.
2. Rescheduled Town Board Meeting to be Held Tonight

The original town board meeting would have been held on Tuesday, but due to the snow storm it was cancelled to today, Jan. 3. There will be a public hearing on the re-zonings associated with Comprehensive Plan. And town board members are expected to issue a positive declaration for the Croton Overlook project. 3. Super Bowl Specials

4. Singing Contest
If you watch American Idol every week and want to live up to your own dream of singing in front of an audience, then you can do so at in Peekskill. This contest will take place the first Thursday of every month. Monthly winners will be asked to come back to compete for twice the prize in June and in December. The winner will be determined by audience applause. The contest will be held on Jan. 3 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more info, call 914-930-7821.
5. Touch of Evil at Jocob Burns Film Center
The will screen Touch of Evil today at 7:15 p.m. Directed and written by Orson Welles, this classic film noir features Charlton Heston as a Mexican narcotics agent, Janet Leigh as his bride, and Welles himself as a corrupt chief of police in a Mexican border town. The movie was cut to pieces early on but has been restored to its original glory. The Center will present the director’s cut. View the 1958 trailer for the film.
