Kindergarten Registration; Cold Spell Over; No More Snow Days Left
Here are five things you need to know today, Jan. 30.

1. Cold Spell Over for Wednesday
Wednesday, temperatures could reach 57 degrees during the day. However, showers are likely, with thunderstorms also possible after 4 p.m., the National Weather Service reports. There is a 70 percent chance of "heavy rain" during the day and 80 percent at night.
2. No More Snow Days Left

There are zero snow days left in the Yorktown Central School District's school year. Should additional full days be used for inclement weather, the next days out of school will be made up in the following order: March 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29.
3. Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten Registration

Lakeland schools' Kindergarten and Universal Pre-K registration will be held Feb. 4 to Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at each of the district's five elementary schools. Registration packets for Pre-K and Kindergarten need to be returned, completed, during the week of Feb. 4. Contact your home school for packets and information.

4. New Appointment of Yorktown Woman

5. Discount Ski Tickets Available
