Letter to the Editor:
I am offering my support for Dr. Steve Katz who is running for the 99th Assembly seat. I am impressed with his plans to restore honesty to our government and his fiscal plan to bring some financial sense back to Albany.
We need new blood in our state legislature and new ideas. We need to bring our social and fiscal house in order. Not only does our state government have runaway spending, but it is also trending away from supporting family values. We need someone in office with a strong moral code, someone who knows right from wrong.

I have come to know Steve over the last several months, and find him to be that person. He is a family man and business owner that understands what it is like to be overtaxed and overburdened by a government that is increasingly against the people's interests, instead of for them.
Steve is not a career politician; he has not taken money from pacs or special interest groups. I believe he will not be owing to anyone, but will be listening to the people in the district. I know he is planning on having two town halls soon, and I will be eagerly attending. There are many issues that need addressing and I encourage everyone who can come out to do so.

I also encourage registered Republicans to come out to vote for Steve Katz during the Republican primary on September 14.

Letter to the Editor:
I will be voting for Steve Katz for the 99th Assembly seat during the Republican primary on September 14. I hope others in the district will do the same. There is a stark contrast between him and his opponent. We don't need someone representing us that flip flops on issues or endorsements. Now his opponent is saying he made a mistake taking the Working Families endorsement last time and that he only agrees with them on unions.
I've seen Katz's plans to restore honesty and integrity as well as fiscal responsibility to Albany, and I like what I see. He is right; we cannot rebuild thestate without first having a strong foundation of citizen statesmen in office. It's time we cleaned house of politicians that have been in office for decades. It's time we sent businesspeople to Albany who can get us a budget on time and one that cuts taxes, not raises them.
I feel confident that Steve Katz will be a populist legislator, listening to the voters in the district, rather than special interest groups that hold secret meetings with legislators and finance their campaigns in exchange for favorable legislation. Where is the lobby for ordinary taxpaying citizens?
Steve is a veterinarian and business owner and has stated he would run Albany more like a business. He's the only true social and fiscal conservative running inthe primary. If these issues are close to your heart, I suggest you vote for Steve Katz on September 14.
