Man, Woman Charged with DWI in Yorktown

In two separate incidents, the 38-year-old Shrub Oak man and 20-year-old Hopewell Junction woman were arrested for drunken driving on the Taconic State Parkway, state police said.

A 38-year-old Shrub Oak man is facing a drunken driving charge after he was stopped for speeding on the Taconic State Parkway, state police said. 

Christopher Ek's vehicle was stopped on March 16 in the town of Yorktown. After investigation, police charged him with a driving while intoxicated. 

He was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on March 26.

In a separate incident, a 20-year-old Hopewell Junction woman was also charged with a DWI after she too was stopped for speeding on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Yorktown on March 16.

Jennifer Gately was charged with driving while intoxicated. She was released and  She was released and scheduled to appear in Yorktown Town Court on March 26.
