Obituary: Cortlandt Manor Man Loses Battle to Cancer at Age 57
Friends and family of James N. Crowell may visit the Yorktown Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

From the Yorktown Funeral Home: James N. Crowell of Cortlandt Manor passed away at home peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer on Nov. 15. He was 57.
Crowell was born in Peekskill on Dec. 24, 1954 to James and Doris Crowell. He married Barbara Avery on Jan. 26, 1980. He was an electrician with Local 3 I.B.E.W. for 33 years before retiring in 2012.
His strength and golden heart was admired by all of those who knew him. Crowell is survived by his beloved wife Barbara. He was a loving father of five daughters Jennifer Kavana, Beverly Fay, Lindsey Crowell, Jamie Crowell and Brittany Crowell. He was a devoted grandfather of Marc, Lowell, Jarred, Dylan, James, Jayden, Sylvia, Jordan and Leah and fond brother of Dottie Robinson and the number one son in-law of Helen and John Avery.

Friends may visit the Yorktown Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian burial Monday Holy Spirit Church at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.
