Passport Service Offered At Hart Memorial Library In Shrub Oak

The service is being offered to the public at hours more convenient for those who work or go to school.

YORKTOWN, NY — If you need a United States passport, you now can get one through the John C. Hart Memorial Library in Shrub Oak.

Library Director Yvonne Cech said hours that complement what the Shrub Oak Post Office offers were selected for the new service.

“We off afternoon and evening hours, which could be very helpful to folks who work or go to school during the day,” she said. “We’ll also have pop-up Saturday hours occasionally.”

To apply for a U.S. passport, applicants must complete an application and provide proof of U.S. citizenship, proof of identity and one passport photo that can be taken at the library for $10.

Fees for the passports cost $130 for adults and $100 for children, plus additional costs for expedited applications and mail service.

Appointments are required by calling 914-245-5262, ext. 225.

Passport appointments are available from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
