Meet the Chicks at Hilltop Hanover Farm in Yorktown
The baby chicks will take center stage at Hilltop Hanover Farm's Backyard Chickens 101, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23.
Say hello to the new chicks at Hilltop Hanover Farm and Environmental Center in Yorktown.
All 54 assorted and adorable chirping chicks (Black Australorp, Rhode Island Reds and Buff Orpington) arrived at the farm Wednesday morning, according to the farm's manager Lucille Munz.

The chicks will take center stage at Hilltop Hanover Farm's Backyard Chickens 101 class, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 23. Head farmer Brett Alcaro will walk participants through everything they need to know to start their own brood of backyard chickens.
Topics will include breed choice, housing, feed, healthcare, and much more. The cost to attend is $20 for adult and $5 for children ages 8 to 12.
