1. Tour De Yorktown

The Yorktown High School jazz band members will be sharing their talents with the community starting this morning in the annual “.” Jazz band members will play at Crompond Intermediate School, Pines Bridge School, Mildred E. Strang Middle and Mohansic Elementary Schools. 

2. Valentine's Day Cards 

Valentine’s Day is the second most popular card-sending holiday, according to Hallmark.com, which estimates that 141 million missives get sent for the Feb. 14 holiday. With less than one week to go, you may want to pop over to at the Jefferson Valley Mall, ,  to buy your loved ones a sweet note.

3. “Race to Nowhere” Documentary 

Parents and caregivers throughout the community are invited to a free screening of the documentary film “” at the Yorktown High School auditorium at 7 p.m. today. Only those who have pre-registered will be allowed access due to space limitations.

4. The Power of Making a Promise

Matthew Cossolotto, author, guest speaker, speechwriter, and speech coach will present the "" at the John C. Hart Library. In his presentation, he will share the story about the promise he made to his mother on her deathbed and reveals the two magic words that could change your life forever: "I Promise!" The presentation is Thursday at 7:30 p.m. You can register at the Reference Desk or call 914-245-5262, ext. 227.
